It would have been nice to have won a stage here and maybe if the breakaway hadn't stayed away on Thursday's stage, I would have won one but, at the end of the day, to win the General Classification was the big goal and I'm still happy with the victory.
I'm ready for the Tour de France. I did a good race here. I'm not at the top of my form just yet so I am excited for July. But you can find LIVE feeds here.
And there will be videos post-stage here. Cyclingnews - Richie Porte maintains overall lead with one stage remaining.
It looked like today went without any problems but that's thanks to my fantastic team here. BMC Racing Team has been great all week and today was another impressive display from them to put me in a good position in the hectic finish.
It was one of those days where you are just happy to get it over and done with. The race has gone really well so far but it's not over until it's over.
Nairo Quintana had a fantastic day yesterday and I think he could easily have another good day tomorrow, likewise with Wilco Kelderman. Cyclingnews - Porte loses time but keeps yellow jersey.
The team's work was really good, with everyone taking efforts from the very beginning of the stage and as far as they could. De la Parte was fundamental up there on the flat between the climbs, pushing as much as he could for as long as possible.
And in the end, it was my task - Mikel was also trying to attack the GC group and destroy the pace by BMC, just like I asked him to do.
Cyclingnews - Richie Porte extends overall lead in Gommiswald. To pay back my team for giving me the chance is a really nice feeling.
Our coach from the car told me to do my thing and trust my instinct and when the last attack went I decided to go for it.
This win is a relief, it was a really long sprint for me and I managed to stay in front. I've had a lot of opportunities in the past but it never really worked out so I'm super happy that I've finally taken a WorldTour win here.
Cyclingnews - Richie Porte moves into the overall lead in Leukerbad. They were fantastic all day.
It was a hectic start and we covered the first km super quick and I don't think it was an easy day for anyone. It may not have looked really hard in the final there but we went hard.
All of the guys did their part today and I am so happy to have the jersey and keep it in the team. I think when you have such a hard start it's not easy to get going and it wasn't an easy day.
So, let's see what the peloton has in store for us tomorrow. The stage today was one of those, and I pulled it off. The race was hard, in the end, I was worried about not catching Mikel Landa, who shot out quite early, but luckily, I closed in on him and kept my speed.
Cyclingnews - Küng keeps overall lead in rain-soaked Gstaad. I am over the moon. I was closing the gap and decided to make the most of it before it was too late.
It was a long three kilometres on the airfield here but it is a fantastic feeling. Especially here, being in Switzerland with the king of Switzerland on the team, I am happy to pull out a good result.
Cyclingnews - 'I'm happy because it shows I'm on the right track' says Italian sprinter. Cyclingnews - 'Every sprint is a different story' says world champion.
Cyclingnews - Küng stays in the overall lead after bunch sprint in Gansingen. Stefan Kung BMC retained the overall race lead. But, our team was really up there and chapeau to Michi [Schär] and Dema [De Marchi], they did an amazing job again today.
As soon as Dema pulled off just before the climb, we kind of lost track of each other but in the end, we were up there and present. In a nutshell, it was pretty slow, the last climb was pretty fast which made a selection.
It was kind of the same story as yesterday. Thanks to my teammates, that did an amazing work in the final. Padun Gasparotto, the Izagirre brothers, everybody.
I went from a long way out in the sprint, a long, long way out so that I could anticipate strong sprinters like Gaviria and Sagan.
As I did at Paris-Nice last year. Cyclingnews - World champion extends his record with well-timed sprint in Frauenfeld.
Cyclingnews - Quick-Step Floors rider admits mistake but promises to find winning formula. Cyclingnews - World champion beats Gaviria and Haas.
Stefan Kung BMC remains overall leader. They trust me enough to work so hard through the day and it means I can go for the win.
Cyclingnews - 'I'll take the race in a relaxed way, and try and stay out of trouble' says LottoNL-Jumbo leader. Cyclingnews - 'I'd love to be flying and I'd love to win this race' says Australian.
